Brunswick Town Hall. Designed by local architect Evander McIver in 1876, the original town hall forms the central section of the present building. Since the early 1900s numerous additions have been made, including a portico in Sydney Road and a third storey over the hall foyer. 2001.
Former Lyric Picture Theatre. This, the first purpose-built picture theatre in Brunswick and the first north of the Yarra, was built in 1911. There was a modern dance hall upstairs which became well-known as Roses. In 1931 the Lyric was converted to a boxing stadium and from 1935 until 1942 it was the Casino Dance Hall operated by Cyril Bright, a former Brunswick footballer. 2001
