North Shore Historical Society, Sydney

The North Shore Historical Society was formed in 1959 during the public outcry over the planned demolition of Bell'vue, a 19th century cottage at Blues Point, to make way for Blues Point Tower.
Since then the Society has documented the history of North Sydney in its regular journals and in the publication of several books. The journals are available for perusal and the books for loan and purchase at the Stanton Library. The Society's archives and research files are housed in the North Sydney Heritage Centre.

Henry Lawson lived and wrote of this district in No's 21, 26, 28, 30, 31 Euroka Street at various times from 1914 to 1921 previously in other north Sydney houses from 1892
