Le clocher de la Charité L'hospice de « l'Aumône générale » ou de la Charité, construit en 1625 avec une longue façade sur le Rhône, a été détruit en 1934 pour céder la place à la grande Poste réalisée par l'architecte Roux-Spitz. Seul le clocher de 1665, inspiré, dit-on, par le Bernin, a été conservé sur cette place qui s'étend, depuis 1993, jusqu'à un débarcadère installé sur le Rhône.
