Via Krupp Alfred Friedrich Krupp venne a Capri nel 1898 ben Presto divenne un protettore dell isola. Nel Maggio 1898 propose al Comune la costruzione di una strada che collegasse Marina Piccola alla certosa. Il progetto fu redatto dall'ingegnere Comunale Emilo Mayer. Nella primavera del 1902 la strada era gia completata e fu dedicata a F. Krupp che divenne cittadino onorario di Capri.
English translation: Via Krupp. Alfred Friedrich Krupp came to Capri in 1898 and soon became a protector of the island. In May 1898 he proposed to the Municipality the construction of a road connecting the Marina Piccola to the Carthusian Monastery. The project was drafted by the Municipal Engineer Emilo Mayer. In the spring of 1902 the road was completed and was dedicated to F. Krupp who became an honorary citizen of Capri.
