English translation: "Godshorn probably had the first school around 1650. When this building burned down in 1751, a half-timbered building was built the following year as a one-class school with teacher's apartment, corner of Alt Godshorn-Rährweg. This building survived World War II and was demolished in 1963. In 1899 the municipal committee decided to build a two-class school. This was built behind the old one on the northern part of the property at the Rährweg, again with teacher's apartment. The second teacher moved into the apartment in the half-timbered house, the old school. The new house is a typical school building from the end of the 19th century. Instead of the usual brick construction, the bricks on predominantly plastered surfaces are used as decorative decorative elements, as corner accents, as window and door borders and as accompaniment to the roof edges. The window sills are covered with glazed bricks. In 1925, an identical building was added to the south for two more classes, resulting in a symmetrical three-wing construction. The entrance is located in the building axis. The old school building is classified as an architectural monument. In 1963 it became dispensable as a school. The rooms are used by the Kinderspielkreis. [AWS Translate]"
