New year 2026 is here, well past time for a new version for Open Plaques! v3 was launched in June 2018 and was worked on fairly consistently up until 2021 and then I started a new business and got really busy with that. Of course, the World has carried on moving without me and the core Rails software has gone from v6 to v8. The upgrade has broken a couple of things but the display sucked so much that I though it was worth jumping in.In particular, I am having to revisit the maps because 10 years ago I invented tile-based geodata queries and am now hoping that technology has caught up with me :D
