LITTLE COT COTTAGE On 17 August 1944, a V1 flying bomb landed on this property killing two members of the Marvell family who lived there along with two visiting cousins. A local air raid warden also died during this incident in which was the biggest loss of civilian lives in Goffs Oak during World War Two.
