Jean Le Vacher

Jean Le Vacher (15 March 1619 - 26 July 1683) was a Lazarist missionary who was the French consul in Tunis and then in Algiers. He died after being attached to a cannon that was loaded with shrapnel and fired when the French fleet bombarded Algiers.
