Town Hall Hotel c1859 In 1859, the hotel's proprietor and publican, Bernard C. McGauran, was offering 'wines and spirits of the best quality, a first class billiard table, and good stabling'. Other publicans have included Henry Lobb and Thomas Chenney. The Town Hall Hotel closed in February 1970. Occupying a prime site in Eaglehawk, the premises have since been used as a nightclub, restaurant, and as a gaming venue known as the Borough Club.
