Lewis Edward Valentine M.A. (1 June 1893 – March 1986) was a Welsh politician, Baptist pastor, author, editor, and Welsh-language activist. He was the first leader of the Welsh political party Plaid Cymru.

Dadorchuddiwyd y llechen hom gan Dafydd Wigley AC AS ar 29 Gorffennaf 200 i goffau sefydlu Plaid Genedlaethol Cymru mewn cyfarfod yn yr adeilad hwn 75 mlynedd ynghynt. Y chwe dyn yn y cyfarfod hwnnw oedd Moses Griffith, Fred Jones, H. R. Jones, Saunders Lewis, Lewis Valentine, D. Edmund Williams. This plaque was unveiled by Dafydd Wigley AM MP on July 29 200 to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Welsh Nationalist Party at a meeting in this building.
