Died aged 43
On August 19, 1944, he was fatally wounded around 5 p.m. near 20 quai de la Mégisserie (1st arrondissement), during a clash with German soldiers. Declared a "Victim of Duty", Célestin Deloge was awarded the Legion of Honor posthumously (January 3, 1945) and cited in the Order of the Nation (OJ of November 15, 1947), the Department of Veterans Affairs awarded him the mention "Death for France" on April 5, 1945, it was approved FFI Posthumously appointed divisional inspector.
