Helen Kirkpatrick Watts 1881-1972 Suffragette Helen was arrested three times & imprisoned twice while campaigning for Votes for Women. In 1909 she served one month in Holloway Gaol & five days in Leicester Gaol, where she went on hunger strike. She always insisted she was "fighting for a human right." This Juniper tree was planted by members of the Watts family & the Nottingham Women's History Group
