En esta zona vivió durante un tiempo Eleuterio Sánchez, "El Lute". En aquella época estaba en busca y captura, por lo que una noche el barrio fue sitiado por la guardia civil para detenerle, pero El Lute escapó. En el año 1986 se rodó este episodio de su vida en el barrio. La película "El Lute, camina o revienta" contó con la participación como extras de varios vecinos.
