Dans cet ancien couvent des Carmes devenu l'institut catholique Édouard Branly a decouvert la radioconduction 1888-1890 le 24 Novembre 1890 il presentait a l'Academie des Sciences un radioconducteur fonctionnant a vingt metres a travers les murs qui a ete la base et l'orgine de la telegraphie sans fil
English translation: In this former Carmelite convent which became the Catholic Institute Édouard Branly discovered the radioconduction 1888-1890. On November 24 1890 he presented to the French Academy of Sciences a radioconductor running twenty meters through walls, which was the basis and origin of wireless telegraphy
