This plaque is to commemorate the contributions made by pioneer proprietors Aaron Bonser "Charlie" Ball and George Henry McKenzie Ellis Both of these citizens were very active in the business community and were major contributors towards the development of Comox The "A.B. Ball" store (1911-1925), which became "The Bay", was located just west of this site and served the community until 1966. February 18, 1995 A history of these pioneers and the "store" are on file at the Town of Comox
