Herbert Morrison Lord Morrison of Lambeth 1888-1965 cabinet minister and leader of the London County Council lived here 1929-1960
The GLC waived the '20 year rule' for the one-time leader of it's predecessor organisation, commemorating Morrison after only 12 years had elapsed following his demise.
