Battle of Jersey January 6th 1781 At the time of the battle this building was the house of Dr. Phillipe Lerrier. Major Peirson was killed near the corner of the house facing the market place and Barron De Rullecourt died of his wounds inside the house. The patches on the wall above cover the marks made by bullets fired during the battle.
