Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) preacher lived here

This L.C.C. 'Medallion' style plaque was first erected at 75 Great Dover Street, Southwark in 1914 but after the demolition of the building it was re-erected in in 1953 at 217 New Kent Road, also in Southwark. On the redevelopment of that building it was re-erected at the current Wandsworth address in 1971
