Sergei Rachmaninoff 1873-1943 The composer, pianist and conductor lived here from 1926 to 1943. During those years, he focused on concert appearances, and composed such works as Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini, Symphony No.3 and the Symphonic Dances.
