Fred Keenor 1894 – 1972. Fred Keenor was a former Stacey Primary School pupil who became a professional footballer in 1912. He played over 500 games for Cardiff City between 1913 and 1931 and also won 32 caps for Wales. Fred was captain of the Bluebirds in April 1927 when they famously became the first team to take the FA Cup out of England after beating Arsenal 1-0 in the final at Wembley Stadium.
