Viscount Cecil, of Chelwood 1864-1958 creator of the League of Nations lived here
A second plaque at this address, commemorating Philip Noel-Baker, was installed by English Heritage in 1992. Noel-Baker had himself unveiled the plaque to his friend Cecil at what was then his own house in 1976.
