The Peppin Memorial. Here, at Wanganella, in 1861 George Peppin & Sons founded a merino stud. A century later this memorial commemorates the great contribution this now famous Peppin strain has made to the Australian wool industry and acknowledges the debt owed to the merino by every Australian.
