Loretto Sisters. In a log cabin, on this site, Rev. Charles Nerinckx, a pioneer missionary, founded the Sisters of Loretto at the Foot of the Cross, April, 1812. Since that time, their educational work has expanded to many parts of the United States and South America. Erected October 23, 1963.
