Edith Louisa Cavell. 4 December 1865 - 12 October 1915. First World War heroine who helped save the lives of 200 Allied soldiers and who worked at Cheshunt Cottage Hospital in 1901 This plaque was erected on the 100th anniversary of her death on 12 October 2015 as part of Broxbourne Council’s Year of Heritage
