Henry Penn Bell Founder cast bells for 100 churches and buildings from his Peterborough Foundry between 1703 and 1729.

The plaque inscription is part of a larger installation shown in the photos relating to Henry Penn and his Foundry which was located here. A plaque with similar information was located just to the south on Henry Penn Walk by the Town Bridge but was missing in 2021.
