Robindale, A.K.A. Smokeless established in 1915 on the site of the "Old Pershing Farm" named for G.T. Robinson. General Superintendant of the Operator's Coal Co. Built to provide housing for the workers at the Robindale mine. Later known as the North American Coal Corp's, Conemaugh No. 1 mine. The town provided public schooling 1915, Federal Post Office 1917, election polling place 1924, a Department and Company Store. In 1920, the Penn Public Service Co. erected a power plant in Robindale, where electric power continues to be generated. On July 20, 1977, raging flood waters destroyed the community of Robindale, but not its heritage and families. Remember "The Last Time you Crossed the Tracks" 2019
