St Helen's Church A site of Christian worship since Saxon times, the current building dates from 1238 AD and is named after the Roman Empress Helena. Inside is a 14th century font, still used for baptisms, and a monument to Apsley Cherry-Garrard, a survivor of Scott's Antarctic expedition (1910-1912). Grade I listed
