DRUNGEWICK WINDING HOLE & SLIPWAY A winding (pronounced win-ding) hole is a specially widened section of canal, allowing boats longer than the width of the canal to turn. This slipway was built by volunteers in 2001-2002 on the site of the original wharf. It allows boats to be slipped in and out of the water.
