The Derby Arms, Ramsgate Frank Muir The writer & humourist Frank Muir was born in this building on February 5, 1920. He was one of the great pioneers of British radio comedy and created a genre of gentle humour that endeared him to millions of people around the world. He died on January 2, 1998.

The pub has closed and the building in which the plaque resided is now a number of residences.
