THE NORTH WAREHOUSE. Built in 1826-7 by the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Co. This warehouse had eight individual store rooms which were rented to Corn Merchants and two basements which were used initially by Wine Importers. In this century it was leased by Priday Metford and Co who installed equipment for milling wholemeal flour. Restored by Gloucester City Council in 1986/6
