Dame Margaret Rutherford (1892-1972), actress lived here 1895-1920

Rutherford's plaque is smaller than usual, at 406mm (16 inches) diameter compared to the standard 495mm (19½ inches) so as to be able to fit onto the building's facade. A similarly miniaturised plaque commemorates John Richard Archer in Battersea.
