Bernard Shaw author of many plays was born in this house 26 July 1856
Unusually, this plaque was erected by an individual, Patrick O'Reilly, who was Shaw's dustman.
See http://comeheretome.wordpress.com/2011/07/26/the-story-of-the-gbs-plaque/ and http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/opinion/2011/0726/1224301384362.html
It was made at the old Creedon's fine plasterwork workshop on Ardee Road, Rathmines, Dublin in the 1960s by Johnny Doyle, whose son John contacted us in April 2012 to inform us of its provenance and contribute further photographs.
