The location of the plaque is unusual, it being affixed to the eastern end of the parapet of the bridge spanning the Chingford branch of the Lea Valley railway lines. No.13 Southwold Road appears to have been lost in 1958/9 when the bridge of 1872 was reconstructed/raised in preparation for the electrification of the line in 1960.
