Kentigern (Welsh: Cyndeyrn Garthwys; Latin: Kentigernus), known as Mungo, was a missionary in the Brittonic Kingdom of Strathclyde in the late sixth century, and the founder and patron saint of the city of Glasgow.

Ancient Well of Little St Mungo. Restored 1906. Near this spot Christian Converts met St Kentigern (St Mungo) on his return from Wales. Near this spot also his meeting with St Columbus is said, by some historians, to have taken place.
