Royal Air Force Keevil. Keevil airfield had a significant role in World War II, particularly in its contribution to the D-Day and Arnhem Operations in 1944. Many nationalities served here and, sadly, many who flew from here lost their lives. The village is proud of its association with the airfield over more than 50 years. "Lest we forget...."
