Willy Clarkson 1861-1934 theatrical wigmaker lived and died here
One of the last plaques to be commissioned by the London County Council, it was erected by the successor body, the enlarged Greater London Council, in 1966, the LCC having been abolished on 1st April the previous year
by administered by English Heritage as part of the London wide plaque scheme and Greater London Council in 1966
