Jenson United States Army Air Force No. 0766541 342 Base Station, Atcham, Shropshire 495 Fighter Training Group 522nd Squadron, E, Fighter training who died on this spot 20th June 1944 at 14.20 hours piloting his P47-C Thunderbolt (AF No 41-6381) whilst it was on fire he guided it from Lawley school and Avondale in order to save lives
