In Memory of Irish Patriots Captain Seán Connolly of the Irish Citizen Army lived here at No 58 Gloucester Street. Seán was killed in action on Easter Monday 1916 on the roof of City Hall by a British Army sniper. Seán's brothers Eddie, George, Joe, Mattie and his sister Katie also fought for Irish freedom on Easter week. Also remembering Irish Citizen Army woman Molly O'Reilly from Gardiner Street who at the age of fourteen was given the honour by James Connolly, Commander General of the Dublin Division Irish Republic Army, of hoisting the green flag over Liberty Hall, the Headquarters of the Irish Citizen Army on Palm Sunday 1916. Troid siad ar son saoirse ne hÉireann. Beidh cuimhne orthu go deo.
