Philip Noel-Baker 1889-1982 Olympic sportsman, campaigner for peace and disarmament lived here
A second plaque at this address, commemorating Viscount Cecil of Chelwood, was installed by The Greater London Council in 1976. Noel-Baker unveiled the plaque to his friend Cecil at what was then his own house.
