Chad Varah Founder of "The Samaritans to Befriend the Suicidal" and of Befrienders International, was born in Lincolnshire in 1911, studied at Lincoln Theological College 1933-35, and was curate of St Giles Lincoln 1935-38.

Plaque was lost in 2018 when the college was redeveloped. 2023 is found in the Developer's shed.
