The original Welsh House was built in 1595 and was one of the few houses to survive the great fire of 1675. It derives its name from the Welsh motto placed above the main window by the owner Dr. Prytherch in honour of his distinguished Welsh heritage. ("Without God, without anything: with God enough"). The front part of the building was rebuilt in the original style in 1975 when it became part of the Grosvenor Centre. Stonework - T.H. Higgins Ltd (Col. J.T.H Higgins) Stonemason - G.P.
