Old Lime Kilns Fullwell Quarries For 200 years until 1957, the Sir Hedworth Williamson Limeworks quarried a 140 acre site near here. The Quarry has been reclaimed but these early kilns remain as a monument to our industrial past.

Queen Alexandra Bridge. This double-decked road and rail bridge was opened in 1909 for the N.E.R. to transport coal to the South Docks. Its lattice girder construction is the heaviest ever built and has a span of 330 ft.
