Ford Place Built on the site of a former Augustinian Friary, the house was home of the Fison fertilizer family and later, Sir William Gentle. Now a private nursing home, the house and grounds have recently been restored.

Bidwell's Brewery Bewing was one of the town's most important industries with several large maltings alongside the river. Bidwell's was the foremost brewery in the town until it closed in 1924.

St Mary the Less Built in the Perpendicular style with later Victorian additions, it is only of only three surviving medieval churches in Thetford. The grave of Sir Richard Fulmerston (died 1566), the founder of the nearby Almshouse and Grammar School, lies in the churchyard.

The Ancient House A merchant built this house in about 1490. The large amount of visible and carved woodwork was a sign of his wealth and status. In 1921 the house was given to the town by Prince Frederick Duleep Singh (1868-1926) to be used as a museum.
