Auberge d'Italie. Built in 1574. Enlarged in 1683. This building was occupied by the Italian Knights of St John who were entrusted with the defence of St Peter and Pauls's Bastions. Their chief was the Admiral of the Order.

Auberge de Provence. This building, erected in 1575, was occupied by the Knights of St John from Provence who were entrusted with the defence of St John's Cavalier and its Bastion. Their chief was the Grand Commander of the Order.

Auberge d'Aragon. This building, erected in 1571, was occupied by the Knights of St John from Aragon who were entrusted with the defence of St Andrew's Bastion. Their commander was the Chief Commissary of the Order.

59 Archbishop Street, Valletta, Malta

Auberge d'Allemagne. Built in 1574, removed in 1839 to allow of the erection of this church of St Paul. On this site stood the building occupied by the German Knights of St John who were entrusted with the defence of St Sebastian's Bastion. Their chief was the Grand Bali of the Order and Commander of the Gozo Forts.

Auberge de Castille. Commenced in 1574. Completed in 1744. This building was occupied by the Castilian and Portuguese Knights of St John who were entrusted with the defence of Sta Barbara Bastion. Their chief was the Grand Chancellor of the Order.
