Desde principios del siglo XIX hasta finales del siglo XX esta calle llevó el nombre de: Calle del Horno Sus habitantes eran conocidos como callehorneros, se trataba de una calle netamente marinera y de pescadores, en ella se ubican varios hornos y talleres de barrilería.
