John Hunter 1728-1793 surgeon lived here
The plaque is situated at the Upper John Street aspect of the building. In 1931 it was re-erected following redevelopment, as noted by a supplementary tablet. The 1930s building was itself demolished in 1998 and both plaques were repositioned on this new structure in 2000.
