Georges RENARD cafetier agissant au titre d'un mouvement de résistance, un raid de l'aviation alliée d'une très grande précision permit de détruire un convoi ferroviaire de soldats Allemands à l'arrêt dans cette zone, provoquant la mort de 57 d'entre eux et d'environ 50 disparus ou blessés.
