Francisco De Miranda 1750-1816 Precursor of Latin American Independence lived here 1802-1810
A rare pairing of plaques; the De Miranda plaque - which replaced one erected by Camden Council - and another commemorating Andrés Bellowere erected by English Heritage at the same address, 58 Grafton Street, in 1996, though it is not entirely clear if they were affixed on the same day. A stone tablet erected by the British Council in 1942 and a privately erected black plaque, are at the same address, both commemorating de Miranda.
