Andres Bello 1781-1865 poet, jurist, philologist and Venezuelan patriot lived here in 1810
A rare pairing of plaques; the Bello plaque, and another commemorating Francisco de Miranda, were erected at the same address in 1996, though it is not entirely clear if they were affixed on the same day. A stone tablet erected by the British Council in 1942 and a privately erected black plaque, are at the same address, both commemorating de Miranda.
