W. G. Grace 1848-1915 cricketer lived in a house on this site

The London County Council plaque commemorating W. G. Grace was first erected at 7 Lawrie Park Road in 1963, originally on this site but demolished in 1964. It was salvaged and re-erected at Fairmount', Mottingham Lane, in the London Borough of Bromley, in 1966
